Nada es lo mismo para siempre.

La máquina del tiempo es una quimera fantástica. Pero, ¡ojalá pudiera existir! Volvería atrás. Atraparía al ladrón de la comprensión. Lo pondría ante nuestros ojos. Expondríamos el caso, reflexionaríamos y lo juzgaríamos.
Dos jueces. Un culpable. Sin testigos. Sin jurado. Solos tú y yo.
Ese maldito ladrón se llevó nuestra unión.
¿Lo absolvemos o condenamos a perpetua?
Quizá lo justo sería hacerlo confesar, y entonces dictaminarle la pena capital.
Y empezar nosotros a vivir de nuevo, con la lección bien aprendida, los deberes hechos, el alma atenta. Para que nunca más nos robe la esperanza, la casa, la vida…
Pero tú te fuiste. Y ese ladrón quedó en libertad.
Caso archivado. Hasta, si algún día quieres, más ver. O hasta que el olvido cure sin olvidar, y la muerte se lo lleve con él.
